Wildlife Cruise to St Abb’s Head
April 24 @ 1:45 pm - 3:30 pm£32.50
This trip is fully booked, but unfortunately we are having to reschedule because of the weather forecast: ‘The forecast looks nasty for the weekend, brisk onshore winds and a 4-6 foot swell’.Liza has arranged for another sailing for BEA at 2pm on Sunday 1st May. Please let us know by Monday 25th April if you have booked a place for April 24th and are unable to attend on this new date. You will be given a full refund via Eventbrite.
Cruise along the spectacular Berwickshire coastline to St Abb’s Head. Experienced guide, Liza Cole, will be on hand to tell you all about the seabirds, seals and any other wildlife we may encounter on the journey, as well as the geology and local history
We will meet outside the RNLI Eyemouth Lifeboat Station on the harbourside below Gunsgreen House in Eyemouth at 13.45. The cruise will sail at 14.00 and lasts about 90 minutes. It is aboard MV Oceanic, a catamaran which is very stable and has plenty of deck space and seating for all. She is licensed to take 13 passengers.
Eyemouth’s floating pontoons and the boat’s step-aboard access means these cruises are suitable for people of all physical abilities. Can wheelchair users please let us know in advance so we can make suitable boarding arrangements.
Please wear suitable clothing (it gets cold at sea), bring a face covering (in case of emergencies) and bring binoculars if you have them.
This event is weather dependent, the skipper will decide as to whether the event is going ahead after the forecast the night before the event and will either confirm or cancel then. However, the forecast can change literally overnight, so please check your email (and spam) before setting out from home to make sure the event is still on.
