Summer Astronomy: Lecture 5

July 11, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The final lecture in a short course covering everything in the universe! Lots to learn whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.

This is the final lecture in a short course in astronomy, led by Dr. Adrian Jannetta, covering basic concepts, practical experience, and the latest developments in a rapidly changing field.

The full course costs £15, or you can book individual lectures for £4 each. Lectures will be delivered via Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before, please go to www.zoom.us and look at the tutorials. An invitation to each lecture will be emailed to you.

Week 5 – In the beginning

A sequel to Week 4 – this week we’ll follow the other consequences of gravity and learn how it shapes the universe at the largest scales – the galaxies and galaxy clusters. In this session you’ll see your place in the universe and come away with an appreciation of how much we’ve learned in the last 100 years – and of how many mysteries still remain.

If you book this course online, we will hold your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy. If you do not wish us to hold your personal data, please book by post (see www.berwickea.co.uk) and do not supply an email address.
