Sign Up and Sing!

This event is part of Berwick Singfest! – a celebration of singing. It is free, but please register, as places are limited.

Calling all singers, whether in choirs or just interested individuals! Would you like to participate in singing True Thomas, a specially commissioned composition for Berwick Singfest! by local composer and Director of the Langlee Singers Chris Achenbach? It features Thomas the Rhymer, a well-known character in Borders folklore. The simplicity of its melodies and harmony, with folk traditions and contemporary style, make it suitable for voices of all ages and abilities.

You can come to this rehearsal and learn the score as an individual, joining others who have practised earlier as choirs or groups in preparation to join the En Masse Choirs for the big performance.

Or you could get some practice in advance by joining one of the choirs who are taking part. Just email the singfest team at singfestberwick@gmail.com and we will try and match you up with a choir. You can also email us if you would like the music in advance. Otherwise, just turn up!

Remember nothing can happen without YOU signing up to sing in this remarkable new work inspired by the locality and the local singing talent.

No previous knowledge is assumed, and all are welcome. There is no need to bring your ticket, as we will have a record of your booking.
