Alvin Lucier’s Music on a Long Thin Wire was a seminal event in the history of modern music. It forms the basis of a project undertaken by pupils from Berwick’s Middle and Upper Schools to design and record music to be played on the wire. As part of this event, the methodology will be explained by Martin Parker and Graham Kelly, and you will be able to listen to the pieces composed by each school. The exhibition will also showcase the work of Berwick First and Junior schools, who each composed music to be played by celebrated violinist Darragh Morgan.
