We strongly encourage you to participate in Singfest!
You can sing as part of the Massed Choirs performing in True Thomas, a specially-commissioned composition for Berwick Singfest by local composer and Director of the Langlee Singers, Chris Achenbach. This features Thomas the Rhymer, a well-known character in Borders folklore. The simplicity of its melodies and harmonies, with folk traditions and contemporary style make it suitable for voices of all ages and abilities.
The performance of True Thomas will take place as part of the Singfest Finale on May 20th.
The best way to participate is to join a choir which is taking part in True Thomas; just email the Singfest! team: singfestberwick@gmail.com and we will try and match you up with a choir from your area.
Alternatively, we can send you the music and you can attend the rehearsal on May 18th.
