This three session introduction to drawing architecture is module 1 of 3 offered by your tutor, Gail Wareham, who won ‘Best in Show’ at the Art & Framing Industry Awards for her architectural representation of a Venetian staircase. This beginners guide to capturing architecture takes you through the processes you need to follow, to succeed in drawing any type of building – from a simple cottage to a castle. We all know how one wrong angle can ruin the look of a drawing or painting. Over the three weeks, easily-explained step-by-step guides take you through the usual minefield of understanding perspective, viewing angles and sighting proportions, amongst other things. The course is full of tips of what to look out for when drawing buildings, and each step is backed up with visual aids. Once you have learnt and practiced these simple processes, you will be ready to confidently enjoy capturing buildings of all shapes and sizes in your artwork.
