Berwick Educational Association provides educational events in and around Berwick-upon-Tweed. We are a charity, registered with the Charity Commission, and our constitution states that our object is “to promote the education of people in the local community of Berwick-upon-Tweed and surrounding areas, mainly by organising educational courses, day courses and excursions”.
We set up in 2014 and became a charity in 2017. You can find us on the Charity Commission website by clicking here and entering our charity number, 1173505, in the Search bar. To see our Annual Report, please click on this link Annual Report 2018-9
Our courses are open to everyone and most are aimed at the complete beginner. Charges for the courses vary, so please read the relevant course details for more information.
We use a range of venues in Berwick, principally, the William Elder Building on Castlegate, the Berwick Voluntary Centre on Tweed Street and the Granary (YHA). Please click here to view a location map.
